What we value most is the glory of God. His glory is our highest pursuit and our greatest ambition (Romans 11:36). We value genuine worship, rooted in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Worship without truth is blind and worship without spirit is empty. We value humble dependence upon God in all things (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18), and we strive to glorify God in all that we do (1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:17). Worship is our top priority, but it is also inseparable from and supported by our other values.
We value the Bible as our final authority and the foundation upon which we build all of our ministry. We value expository preaching because every verse of the Bible has been breathed out by God (2 Timothy 3:16). We value the spiritual disciplines of reading, memorizing and meditating upon Scripture, because God works through His Word in the lives of His people (John 17:17; Psalm 1:1-3). We value Biblical Counseling because in the Bible, God has given us all we need “for life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3).
We value walking in obedience to Christ, because our obedience to Him reveals our love for Him (John 14:21). We believe the church is where believers are called to walk in obedience to Christ together, so we value community and relationships because the Christian life was not intended to be lived alone. We value a culture of discipleship and grace, one in which personal growth is pursued by all and grace and patience are extended to all as we follow Jesus together. We value serving and ministering to others, each person using their spiritual gifts to build up the church in the love of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-16).
We value a culture of personal evangelism, where every member is an ambassador for Christ, reaching those around them with a message of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:20). We value involvement in our community, that we might reach them with the gospel. We believe that Christ has commissioned His church to have a “go and tell” attitude rather than a “come and see” mindset.
